Haberdashers' Knights Academy

Admissions Process

In-year admissions

The Academy will operate a waiting list for applications submitted for years other than the normal year of entry.

The Academy will consider all such applications, and if the year group applied for has a place available, admit the child unless one of the permitted reliefs applies.

If more applications are received than there are places available, the over subscription criteria for the secondary school (excluding sports) shall apply. Banding will not apply to the In-Year secondary school waiting list.

The waiting list will operate until the end of the academic year. If, at the end of the academic year, parents wish their child(ren) to be considered for entry to the subsequent year group, they will be required to apply afresh.

The Academy participates in Lewisham's Local Authority (LA) In-Year Fair Access Protocol and children may be prioritised over those children on the waiting list for admission under this protocol.

PLEASE NOTE: In-Year admissions relate only to Secondary.

Application Process for In-Year Transfers

The Academy also participates in Lewisham LA in-year co-ordinated admissions scheme.

Applications to apply for the In-Year list must be made via the Lewisham LA Common Application Form, which can be found by clicking on the link below:

IN-YEAR ADMISSIONS COMMON APPLICATION FORM (CAF)

Lewisham will then inform the Academy of the application and if a place cannot be offered at the time of application, the child's name will be added to the waiting list for that academic year.
