A-Level and Vocational Results Day
Students and staff are celebrating at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Knights Academy receiving their calculated grades for their A-level results. Following impressive performances in their mock exams, students have been awarded grades in line with the Sixth Form’s continuing improvement. Once again, the average grade in Applied General and Technical qualifications was Distinction, with more than a third of students taking an Extended Diploma receiving a Distinction*. At A-level, 30% of grades were A*-B, with an average grade of a C and progress from GCSEs to A-level above the national average.
One of the highlights was Evin Cinar achieving AAAB and earning a place at King’s College London to study Biochemistry. Also celebrating getting into a Russell Group university is Aminata Kamara, having earned a place at the University of Birmingham to study Social Policy and Criminology.
Dr Tesca Bennett, Executive Principal, said “We are really pleased that the students’ grades have reflected the trend in improvement across the school over the years. Although students are disappointed not to have shown what they can do in formal exams, they have been rightly rewarded with grades that recognise their hard work of the last 7 years. We wish them every success as they progress onto their chosen universities.”
