Boys Uniform

• Navy blue school blazer with the Haberdashers' Crest and matching buttons 
• Plain white shirt
• Tie (no house colour in ties) 
• Navy V-neck sleeved or sleeveless jumpers only
• Charcoal Grey flannel/wool trousers
• Plain grey or white socks
• Plain black leather (not suede) shoes (no boots or trainers) 
• Plain navy or black coat/jacket/anorak (no denim, leather or hooded tops)
• School backpack with logo (all pupils joining school from September 2021 will be expected to have this)

PE Kit - Boys

• School navy/burgundy sports top with Haberdashers' Crest
• Navy/burgundy school sport shorts
• White sports socks - knee length for football/rugby, ankle length for indoor
• Trainers - Plain black or plain white trainers only (no buckle/Velcro)
• Navy joggers for colder weather
• Navy PE hoodie with Haberdashers' logo for colder weather
• Studded football/rugby boots
• Gumshield

Girls Uniform

• Navy blue school blazer with the Haberdashers' Crest and matching buttons 
• Plain white blouse 
• Tie - (no house colour in ties) 
• Navy V-neck sleeved or sleeveless jumpers only
• Charcoal grey box pleat skirt (official uniform skirt only). Skirts must be worn to at least knee-length
• Charcoal Grey flannel/wool trousers
• Plain grey tights only (not leggings). White socks if worn with skirt
• Plain black leather (not suede) shoes (no boots or trainers) 
• Plain navy or black coat/jacket/anorak (no denim, leather or hooded tops)
• School backpack with logo (all pupils joining school from September 2021 will be expected to have this)

Please note:

Outdoor Coats - not to be worn inside the building.  Hoodies are not allowed and will be confiscated.

Blazers - should be worn at all times, sleeves to be worn at full length.

Ties - ties must be worn with a neat knot covering the top button with the Haberdashers' Crest clearly visible. The tip of the tie should be at waist length.

Blouses/Shirts - should have the top button done up and tucked in at all times. No open neck shirts or blouses, no designer or fitted blouses.

Skirts - girls may wear skirts or trousers, but not both. Academy skirts should be worn at knee length and should not be shortened above. The maximum skirt length should be below the knee and above the calf.

Shoes - shoes should be plain black and without any embellishments. They should not be trainer or plimsoll-like in style. Boots are not allowed, with the exception of the lower ankle height Kicker-style boots. Dr Marten-style boots are not permitted.

Jewellery - only a watch and one small (0.5cm in diameter or less) pair of plain gold or silver studs in the lobe of the ear may be worn.  No other studs, jewellery or non-school badges are permitted.  No facial/body piercing, bangles or bracelets are allowed.  Permitted items are worn at the owner’s risk. 

Hair - hair accessories must be all plain red, navy, black or white.  Small beads of one colour only are allowed.  No extreme hairstyles.  Hair to be business-like and smart, with no colours unnatural to their own. 

Make-up - No make-up or nail varnish should be worn.  Students will be required to remove it and may receive a sanction.  No false or acrylic nails, false eyelashes or eyelash extensions are allowed. No visible lip-gloss, Vaseline, eyeliner etc.

Eyebrows - eyebrows must not be shaved or have any markings in them.

Scarf - plain navy blue or black scarves may be worn to/from school.

Hats - in winter only, pull-on woolly hats in plain navy or black may be worn to/from school.  Baseball caps are not permitted.  In summer months, plain navy or white sun hats may be worn to/from school.  No other headwear is permitted to be worn unless it is for religious or medical reasons.  In these cases, written notification from a parent/carer is required and details will be held on the student’s file.

We expect all students to wear their uniform correctly in school and to and from home. Please do not be persuaded by your child to permit any deviation from the uniform rules. 

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that every piece of uniform and kit is marked with your child’s name and tutor group.

Pre-Loved Uniform

We are delighted to advise you that we are now using Uniformd, an online platform through which parents and carers can purchase affordable, Pre-Loved Habersdashers’ Knights Academy uniform items all year round.

We are aware of the impact that the cost of living crisis is having on many families within our community and are avidly seeking ways in which we can help.

With Uniformd, you can purchase donated, gently-used uniform items at a fraction of the original price, with funds from sales going directly back to the school. When you buy via Uniformd, you are not only investing back into the school but also contributing to a more sustainable future, reducing the amount of outgrown but wearable uniform going to land-fill.

How to use the Pre-Loved uniform store:

• Click hereto view the current Pre-Loved Uniform available for purchase.
• Browse the items currently for sale. New items are added weekly.
• If you wish to purchase an item/s, click Add item to the basket.
• When you have finished shopping, click the basket icon in the top right of screen and click Checkout.
• Enter your details and pay for your items using a credit card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express).
• You will receive an email confirmation and an order number. You will then be able to collect your purchased goods from the school using this number.
• Please note, you can only purchase items through the Uniformd.co.uk platform. The school is not selling Pre-Loved uniform directly from the office.

In order for this system to run effectively, we are on the lookout for donations of Pre uniform items.  If you wish to donate any uniform or sports kit, please bring clean and pressed uniform items that are nor stained, torn or damaged to the school office and they will be gratefully received.

 

Clothing should NOT display any brand names or logos other than the school crest
