Haberdashers’ Knights Academy is part of the Haberdashers’ Academies Trust, a group of academies that has been educating children in South London since 1876.
As Interim Principal of Haberdashers’ Knights Academy, I am proud to lead a school that sits at the heart of its community, with a clear commitment to excellence, inclusion, and opportunity for every child.
Haberdashers’ Knights Academy is part of the Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South, a family of schools with a proud history of educating young people in South East London since 1876. Through this partnership, and our links with the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, we are able to offer our students a breadth of opportunity that supports both academic success and personal development.
Our vision is simple and ambitious: to ensure that every student achieves their full potential—personally, academically and socially. Central to this is our unwavering commitment to inclusion. We are proud to be a school where every child is known, valued and supported to succeed, regardless of their starting point. We believe that high expectations and strong support go hand in hand, and we are relentless in ensuring that all students—particularly those who need us most—receive the education, care and guidance they deserve.

Our focus on high-quality teaching, a knowledge-rich curriculum, and a consistent approach to behaviour and routines ensures that classrooms are calm, purposeful and focused on learning. Our recent Ofsted judgement recognised that we continue to be a ‘Good’ school, and we are determined to build on this further as we continue our journey towards excellence.
Beyond the classroom, we place great importance on developing the whole child. Through a wide range of extracurricular, cultural and leadership opportunities, our students build confidence, resilience and character. These experiences are fundamental in preparing them for life beyond school.
We are equally committed to ensuring that every student is well prepared for their next steps. The majority of our students progress to university, with others successfully pursuing apprenticeships or entering the world of work. Whatever pathway they choose, our aim is that they leave Knights Academy confident, capable and ready to succeed.
As Interim Principal, I am providing clear, focused leadership to strengthen standards, raise expectations and ensure consistency across the Academy. We are building a culture where excellence is the norm, where staff are supported to deliver high-quality teaching, and where every student understands what it means to succeed. This is a school that is moving forward with purpose, clarity and ambition.
